BIDDEFORD — The transition to college life can be challenging. Young people find themselves on their own for the first time, and while they are learning to navigate a new campus, it can be difficult to find peers with similar interests.

Julene Gervais, co-executive producer and host of "Greenlight Maine," presents the $10,000 grand prize to collegiate winner Abbie Anderson, representing the University of New England.

PORTLAND (WGME) – A UNE alum is hoping her new app will take off after winning the college edition of "Greenlight Maine."

Abbie Anderson, a recent grad of UNE, won $10,000 for the development of her new app, "Clyk.”

Clyk, an app developed by UNE alum, aims to combat campus loneliness…"The point of Clyk is to get off your phone and not be glued to it all the time," the creator of the app said.

An app, in development by Abbie Anderson, B.S. ‘23, has also won a first-place prize of $10,000 in the college edition of “Greenlight Maine”.
